How you can get involved

Membership is open to anyone, young people, both men and women, professionals and non-professionals with an interest in eating disorders. We have an emphasis on a mix of professionals and self-help participation. Most areas of Scotland are well represented within the SEDIG community and we have also accepted members from England and Northern Ireland.

Benefits of Joining

By joining SEDIG you will become an integral part of a group of experienced professionals, carers and people in recovery, all with an interest in sharing knowledge and improving services.

With good collaboration we are becoming a powerful voice in raising awareness and making changes in the delivery of eating disorder services throughout Scotland.

Networking and Communication

Many current members find this of great value. Being able to network and discuss with like-minded individuals both professional, carers and persons with personal experience as well as other interest groups.

Conferences and Events

Early bird notice, as well as a chance for reduced rates and or free places to events or conferences, and access to presentations online if you are unable to make the conference.

Engagement and Development

There are opportunities to be elected to the committee and be actively involved in the developments. References and certificates for engagement can be provided for those interested in supplementing their personal development

Conference downloads

We are currently working on developing a member’s login, from which conference PDFs can be downloaded. In the mean time conference presentations can be made available to members only via the contact page.

We hope to reinstall the newsletter feature as the website expands a Feature exclusive to members.
